Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is this tool for?

Sending to invalid emails raises your bounce rate, causes legitimate messages to land in spam or even be rejected! This free email validation tool checks whether an email address is valid, correctly formatted, and actually exists. Improve deliverability, open rates, and reply rates.

2. How does it work?

Mail-Verifier verifies whether an email address is valid. The process does not send any email to the target address; it only checks whether delivery is possible. Verification combines DNS and SMTP protocols. DNS queries find the responsible mail servers for each address, then SMTP is used to verify that at least one mail server accepts the given address.

3.Are the results accurate?

Highly accurate. Based on statistics, our leading verification technology achieves around 90% global accuracy.

4. Which emails can be verified?

The platform can verify the vast majority of email addresses worldwide, as long as the mail server follows standard international conventions.

5. Do you store email addresses?

Uploaded data is only temporarily stored for the corresponding task. Users can delete tasks to destroy the data; we do not intentionally store it.

6. What is a Catch-All mailbox?

A Catch-All mailbox (accept-all) is a mail server configured to "accept mail for any address under the domain." For example, even if not-exist@yourcompany.com does not exist, the server may still return an accept status. In this case, the result is marked as Catch-All, meaning the domain has an accept-all policy and the address may not truly exist, but mail could be accepted.

7. Do you provide an API?
